It's a good solution for this season. Directv will not be offering many games in hd anyway, so the resolution is not much different. With the amount of people with media center pcs now and remotes, it's not a bad option.

Good Questioner, I hope you enjoy it. Question, since D* isn't offering many games in HD, who is offering more? Thought so... resolution, not much different? Did you have both last year, I did, not much different hugh? And the new, better resolution for this year, more money and we will see?

I said many, not any. I don't think 8 percent of all mlb games is many or all that significant.

As far as the resolution, it highly depends on the rsn the game is from....some just look awful on big screens in sdtv.....kansas city's for example. Yes, with my broadband connection mlb.tv does often look better fullscreen on my large screen than some of these channels. They have made big improvements with quality.

Sorry for my late reply, I was busy watching spring training action on mlb.tv....couldn't find any on directv.

Well NFL Super Fan costs $99 and for that you get a choice of 8-9 HD games on every one of 17 Sundays - a total of 150 games.

MLB Super Fan costs ONLY $39 dollars for the season. At 10 games a week for 26 weeks, that's 260 games. And since they are spaced out throughout the week, you can actually watch many more of them. I sub to both packages, and you can't watch all of the NFL games - THEY ARE ON AT THE SAME TIMES!. With Baseball, you will be able to watch most of the games - between east and west coast start times, different days of the week, the offering is FAR GREATER and MUCH LESS EXPENSIVE than the NFL one. I think its a GREAT value.

As you well know its up to the channels to broadcast the games and when they do are very likely regional viewing only and/or your regional channels do carry spring ball. Funny, I have DirecTV too and have seen quite a few spring games on as I passed them up in the EPG. But you are once again only trying to make negative, backhanded, silly comments that amount to no real facts or usable info. Just stop already. You do it in every thread 99% of the time. Just disconnect all your DirecTV gear already and call Dish or your cable company and save yourself and us all the headaches of the never ending mis-information, complaints and negativity..

if these games were not on DirecTV, they were not on ANY TV.

Of course you can find some spring training games on directv.....but not with mlb extra innings, mlb.tv offers a ton of them out of market. That's the point of this thread.

I don't think the price is outrageous by any means, but the fact is it is a fairly significant increase over last year just to get the same number of games. Extra innings is a better value if you like baseball more than football.

But comparing the nfl to mlb is like apples and oranges. Each nfl game brings in a huge amount more revenue/ratings than any typical mlb game, which is the price is so much more per game with sunday ticket.

And as far as mlb.tv, it should be noted that it is quite a bit cheaper to subscribe every month than extra innings for a full season.

You comment reads that you could not find ANY spring training action on DirecTV. Get you stories straight.

No, my comment reads that I couldn't find any on directv last night.

I don't know why you take everything I say as an absolute.

I don't know why we take everything you say as anything. As I said, enjoy your mlb.com, I am very happy with my MLB EI, sorry you are not.

Another useless, partially irrelevant post.

I would be happy with extra innings, I just am happier with mlb.tv. I don't see what directv offers this season that warrants the difference in price, for me anyway. And I am an hd junkie.

You are, no doubt a troll. Not meant to be a personal attack, just a fact, and I cannot understand why the powers that be let you continue to post here. Guess they are smarter over at the other forums.

The fact that the cable co. offered the deal was actually some decent information. But, as a supposed D* sub, I have noticed that every one of your posts are anti D*, most are complete baloney, but none the less, all anti D*. So no, questioner, we do not believe anything you say anymore and we do believe that you were banned by the other sites. Enjoy your high resolution MLB.tv deal.

"We"? Quit acting like you are the representative for this entire community.

I am not banned here for the same reason I am not banned on any similiar forum, I just express opinions, share information, and do not break any forum guidelines.

Even if everyone of my posts is anti-directv, which is not true, doesn't mean they are filled with false information.

Your post was meant as a ridiculous bash at DirecTV. If you couldn't find any spring training games on DirecTV last night - the reason or fault would have NOTHING to do with direcTV. First of all, DirecTV can only carry games that are produced by a 'CONTENT PROVIDER' such as an RSN or any channel for than matter. If the content providers do NOT broadcast a game - why would you be putting a DIG at DirecTV in the first place. That is why you have been banned at 2 other sites.

It's not your opinions that bother me, its your disregard for truth that does.

Ummm, errrr.... We still don't believe you.
