The rule for our associations are pretty lax
-either on the deck or the edge of the roof
-has to be on the backside of the house so it doesnt show when you come up the driveways. This is Ok as the roofs all run east west so the backsides of the houses work fine
The old president tried a "one dish" rule a long time ago. This is when I had 4 on the roof and when Dish did the "split" locals where some minor locals were on the wing dish. We also have some immigrants who wanted international channels and they were on 61.5 (this is long before 118.7 and Superdishes). I was grandfathered but they told me if I took a dish and the mast off the roof I couldnt put it back on. Well I left the foot there. I found out about OTARD and showed it to the association and they shot down that stupid rule. About 6 months later I was on the board
