Copy HDD in Directv Box to external drive?

I have the latest Directv HDD HD Box.. Is there a way to copy a movie that's been recorded onto the Directv HDD to an external USB HDD or PC?

you can't copy it to an external hard drive but maybe you can use a video capture card on your pc. i just use a dvd recorder.
