You could jet through IR codes and see if you can find one to work, but why?

Recording from the FTA box onto your Tivo will be a manual process. You're going to have to set timers on the Coolsat reguardless.

I used to have my Coolsat 4000 connected to my Tivo. I did record stuff / timeshift. The recordings were titled whatever was on the channel that the Tivo thought it was watching.

Until Tivo gives us a means to build a custom guide, it'll always be a VERY manual process. This kills what makes a Tivo a Tivo. This is why I feel that the FTA PVRs (Pansat 5000 / 6000 etc) are a much better option for FTA use.

Generically speaking you set a timer on your Coolsat (assuming it can do that which I'm sure it can) and you get the TiVo to manually record channel 3. (You of course need to use the RF connector)

There are about 10,000 hacks for the Tivo to change the name of recorded shows etc. Many of them are very simple and require very little technical knowledge.
