CoolSat 4000 Pro

Hi, everyone

My eyes are sore from reading, so I'll ask a question

A friend was going to throw away a coolsat 4000 pro so he gave it to me

I hooked it up to a dish 500 pointed at DNW and found how to do a blind scan
I went through all the channels it found and it only showed a few which was all the same (DN 101 advertizing)

I then loaded Galaxy 19 into the box and tried to find 97.0W with no luck.
Will this DN500 pick it up or is the LNB wrong?

If it will, what do I set the SAT info to?

Not only is the dish 500 too small but the LNB (the eyeball) isn't the right type for 97W.
Best would be a 30-36" dish (bigger the better) and a KU Band LNB. Something like this

The receiver should work fine, However. So you have the most expensive item already. I would look around for a larger free dish, and it may come with the right LNBF. But if that is a dish network LNBF (eye) thenn it will not work for FTA.

And I know that dead eye feeling.

Thanks guys, I'm just playing anyway and that confirmed what I was thinking.
I probably have a mountain in the way according to the compass (It may not peek over it)
