Contacting DIRT

Let me add, I mainly use Matt, Marek (Facebook Dirt, not listed here), Jessica and Laila and they are always very helpful.

I don't know how you all do it. I've been reading some doozies on Dish's FB page from customers about items from bills going up, not being able to choose only the channels they want (a la cart ain't happening anywhere anytime soon) or threatening to cancel.

If people would dig a little deeper (READING your contract would be a start) I believe they would find Dish is the best value out there.

You may have to do without a channel here or there. Is it worth it to save $10-15 a month? It is to me.

When I watchd a program on one of my external HDs, I stop the recording when finished and click to delete. The HWS/CUI ask me to confirm the delete, but when I press yes, it takes me back to the previous screen. The only way out of this loop is to press live program button and I get live tv. When go back to the ext HD , the program has been deleted, but this is a pain in the a** each time and Dish needs to fix it. Am I the only one that has this bug? If this a new bug, will DIRT report it for me. I have HWS, U231.
 
I like the new format, but the list of currently logged on users seems to be missing. I found the 'Members' item and can see current activity, but you have to scroll through dozens of screens to find a DIRT member, and I didn't see a link to message them.

What's the best way to find an active DIRT member and message them?

I am using the default 2016 version and see the DIRT members on the left side.

Using the 'default' 2017 (new) theme and both 'helpers' and 'users' show up fine. Everyone's name is a clickable link too.

I don't have the bar on the left side of my screen. I vaguely remember turning it off some time in the past, but now I can't find any place to turn it back on. I searched the 'Preferences' page with no luck.

Increase your browser width. I have a 13" Macbook Air and run Chrome about 4/5 wide on my screen. When I reduced the size just barely, those boxes went away.

There's no (obvious) way to turn them off or hide them (that I can see).

Change your 'style' at the bottom of the page to 2016 then the open and close sidebar button appears near the top of the page. When you have it how you want it you can change your style back.

I've got a 24" wide-screen monitor, and usually run full screen. Still no bar.

I've got a thread going in the help forum, so we'll see if they can find a way. I think a button got missed in the new theme. Unfortunately, it's still missing when I go back to the old theme.

Sorry, no joy. Still no button visible even in the old theme. I promise to do a spectacular head slap if it's there somewhere and I'm just not seeing it...
 
Well, I see the spot it should be in, but I don't have the 'Open Sidebar' button between the search box and the nav bar.

Also, the 'Post New Thread' button isn't on the same line as the other stuff. It's down below the ad.

Maybe I need to renew my membership and get rid of the ads.

I've had dish (2 hoppers 1 joey) for about 5 and a half years. At that time I read about how people "move" to get locals they want. We have been out of contract for a few years. We keep dish even though it's the much more expensive tv option because my husband has to have Chicago locals for bears games. We live a few hours away from Chicago and have Chicago set up as locals. The problem is I'm really hating our hoppers since the new software update. It's horribly slow with bugs on my old equipment. Is there anyone who can help me keep Chicago locals, upgrade equipment and have it sent to where we really live (Indiana) and maybe get in contract again if it's benifical?
