I would highly agree with that comment.

Me too. But the advantage of the adapter is cost and the fact that it uses a background tuner. Slingbox is great if you are away and want total control of your DVR, but not so much if you just want to watch in another part of the house without affecting other viewers.

They are $50 new now. Dish has been selling them for $30 for awhile. No monthly fee, no brainer.
