It may seem over the top right now but in the not to distant future, all cars will have this feature put in at the factory.

Actually Dodge (I believe it is Dodge) announced it was putting a Carputer in one of its new trucks.

We are just at the beginning of seeing computers in peoples cars.

I'm trying to piece one together now using an MSI small form factor 1.6 ghz atom based pc

Newegg.com - MSI Wind PC Intel 945GC 1 x 200Pin Intel GMA 950 Black Barebone - Mini / Booksize Barebone Systems

right now the hard part is choosing an lcd panel with touch capabilities that's decent
size and still afordable. I'm scared the flat panel will be the most expensive part in this project. Anyone know where I can get some good deals even refurb might be an option if the price is right.
