Compass Graphic

I am looking for something that I can see in my mind but don't know where to find - though I am sure it must be out there somewhere.

I am looking for an image of a compass - not round - but linear like a ruler.

Think of this:

Compass Rose

But linear instead of circular.

I could then shrink or expand it with a graphic program according to the circumference of the pole, print it out, line up North and quickly gauge the setting of the dish.

Does anyone know of such a thing?

Thanks

You just need a program to evenly divide the circumference into whatever degree increments that you want. Check out some of the free/shareware CAD programs that will allow you to print to scale. The problem is that getting it accurate to one specific pole would be troublesome as minor variences in the diameter of the pipe would obviously throw off the scale. What are you trying to do with it exactly? If you are using it to line up a dish, you'd be better off just aiming the dish in the correct direction then use a satfinder to fine tune it. This would allow you to account for minor variances as oppose to getting things lined up exactly to what the charts say, only to find out that the signal isn't peaked.

My Garmin GPS V has what you are looking for on it but any screenshots do not show the entire spectrum. You stumped me on this one
