I had 2 HR-22-100 receivers. I had one die, and they came and replaced it with an HR-21-200. I think the hard drive is smaller than the unit that I had. They say the swap is "comparable". Do I have any recourse?

The 21 does have a smaller drive than the 22 (320GB to 500GB I think)
But D* considers them the same "family"

I was going to welcome you based on your first post, but you have been a member for almost five years!
Anyway, Directv does consider all of the HR20-24 dvrs to be comparable. Are you under a commitment? If not, you might try talking to retention and see if they can offer you an upgrade to a Genie. It would get you a two year commitment, but you would have new stuff.

My dealings with them have been bad. After misrepresenting that the units were identical. When I was going to commit to a new 2 year contract with a Genie, they then said that the HR-22 would not work with the Genie, which I found out here is not true. They said they gave me the best deal they could, so I committed. then going online, the "deal" they gave me was what i was eligible for anyway. o thought they would at least toss in Sunday Ticket. they said no way. The agent also assured me I would get an HR-44 in the install. The technician called today and he said he did not have them yet so I cancelled the order.

They are working really hard to lose me as a customer. I guess they would rather give me a complete new customer package than fix a simple issue they created.
