Combine Dish Pro Plus with Directv Antenna?

I currently have a Dish service with a dish pro plus antenna, everything works great. I can get local channels if i hook up another antenna and point it at 148. I have my old Directv antenna from 4-5 years ago. I tried to use this to bring in my 148, it did not work... I did some research and found out the DPP only works with Pro LNBF's and the Directv is similar to a legacy. My question is; Can I use an old dish pro dual lnb mounted on my directv antenna to bring in 148? The DP LNB is suppose to work but i don't know if it will work mounted on the directv antenna...

If this works all i need to do is buy the Y-adapter for $10-$12 instead of purchasing a whole new DP setup.

Thanks, ScottOz

Dishstore.net sells I adaptors that will also work but are suited better for DP twin lnbs. In either case, you can use the D* antenna but you will have to cut about 2" off of the support arm to keep the focal point correct. To get the exact measurement, just measure the length of the adaptor with the lnb installed to the bolt hole and cut off that amount.
