But it would be worse for Dish if the Turner and Viacom channels were gone because at least subs would have other places to go to watch those channels.

I know a lot of people get in an uproar at this site when Dish loses/drops a channel or channels but people who do that have blinders on. Time Warner is the cableco that covers my area (predominantly) and the local media -- since all they seem to like is negative stories -- are all over it when TWC drops channels and it happens more than once a year.
I really only know about Directv or other cablecos dropping channels if it's mentioned here. I doubt that Dish and Time Warner are the worst...
i bet you money Dish and Turner will reach a deal after the midterm election cause it's gonna hurt CNN more knowing their biggest night of the year for news coverage that isn't a big breaking news event will suffer a major decrease of ratings due to losing eyeballs that normally watch CNN on Dish. so in a way, this could be a year where CNN will get lower ratings on Election night all because Turner and Dish are in a dispute
Yes, I'd say there will be about 7 or 8 million (minimum) potential viewers MIA.

So.... the channels are still gone, probably wont be back until TBS and TNT are set to expire. Heck those may go dark too.

Wonder if they'll reach an agreement before Tuesday (Election Day) so they can avoid losing the potentially 14 million Dish viewers.

I heard Glen Beck thank DISH Network for putting Blaze TV on in place of HLN. He asked his listeners to thank them too. I already have Blaze in 250 package so not really a bonus to me. It would be nice to get it in HD though.
