That would work but it's awfully pricey. You should be able to get four for that price. I got a couple on amazon and ebay for $5ish a piece. I just buy the Directv SWM splitters. They work great, are clearly marked and have a grounding block if you need it. You don't need the gold spray paint radio shack puts on their stuff to get a good connection

I would connect the lnb cable directly to the fta box, if you haven't already, and verify that your fta receiver is working as it should. If you have the dish on a c-band satellite, try bypassing the 4DTV and hooking to the fta , scan the satellite for fta channels. If you think you've got the problem figured out as being a bad switch, congratulations. Polarity switching through an analog box is problematic-did it for years myself.
