CL2 coax?

My brother is in a rural loghouse rental with no cable access and poor broadcast reception. We want to install my old 508 for him to use. House has been prewired using CL2 CATV coax. Can we couple RG6 from dish to this cable and then to the receiver? We really don't want to drill holes in the floor or logs to run new wires.

I think it depends on the quality of the existing cable. The guy who installed my Dish said my existing cable (from the cable co.) was good enough and everything came out well.
