Cinemax for a penny update. Good news!

I wanted to start a new thread about this...(i figred lots of people are no longer looking at the original thread.)

I subscribed to Cinemax 3 months ago and was shut out of the 1 penny promo when it was posted on satelliteguys last month. I was told that I was ineligible because I subscribed to Cinemax within the past 6 months.

I tried again today and it worked. I signed up for paperless/autopay and I am now watching cinemax. I did it via online chat...the rep kept saying "give me a few minutes to look at your account.." I thought for sure that I'd be shut out, but it went through without a hitch.

I don't know if I got lucky, or if E* has changed the rules of the promo, but for those of you who initially didn't qualify, it might be worth a second try.

I tried to do this yesterday, but because I did the 3 month free offer, they said I need to wait another 5 months until I can do this.

Hmm.....I signed up with E* in September and also did the 3 months free. Maybe I just got lucky with the CSR I had (or maybe unlucky when i receive my bill next month)
