Ive noticed lately that crime shows such as law and order svu have had a large amount of episodes involving crimes against children wich for my being a father does bother me. Im bothered because I dont know if this is just the television fad of the moment exploiting children and the publics emotions on such a touchy subject, or if this is going to be a new trend in entertainment again at the expense of children. Im bothered also because I have a heart and cant stand to see children abused, Ive never been a person able to turn and walk away from a situation where a vulnerable person or animal for that matter could face danger.

If the trend is for good reasons then I think it can be done diferently such as was done for the charity benefits for katrina victims on all networks. Crimes against children are a majour world wide epidemic so why not get all the majour and minor television networks to work together to run a marathon to raise public awareness further as to what is going on.

Crimes against/involving children don't seem to be any more prevalent than normal to me, but news coverage of it does seem to be up, which would explain why TV shows are doing it too, they try to reflect what's in the news.

Next time you go to the grocery store, just realize that like 1 out of 5 kids you see is probably abused in some form at home, and it's not just the kids who are acting out either, it's usually the really quiet, shy kids who know better than to act out.

Lot of ignorant people in the world, and they LOVE having a kid with another ignorant person. Then when they have huge credit debt and are fighting about the kid all the time, they do the next logical thing...they have ANOTHER kid...Crazy world we live in...
