Can Chicago HD locals be picked up in Tampa FL?

Welcome I would have to say ummm no.. there on 129 and 129 cant be picked up in Tamp FL (too far south). If it could be picked up there then the answer would be yes as there on conus beam.

If sat 129 is south of the US it is most definitly closer to FLA than ILL, so how does that work? I just looked up that track 129 and it was south of the US.

Too low in the sky
Here in NC at 80 degrees longitude the 129 elevation is only at 24 degrees....Tampa, at 81 degrees long.?...The 129 may be like 10 degrees above the horizon, rendering the 129 usless..
