Charlie Chat Recap 3-09-09

Hmmm...will TMC HD be included with AT250/Gold/whatever? Or just with Showtime? They made it work for Encore...

Just dropped Showtime, would consider dropping Starz and picking the Gold channels back up if it included TMC HD and Encore HD.

I called and got through to the sudio. I asked about Fox News Channel hd and FBN hd not being in any of the Turbo packages. She told me they would be put in there respective Turbo packages in 4-6 weeks.
We will see.

AMC and IFC and MORE MAX all announced last March and still no where in sight. How about FX and Speed? Those two have to be the most asked for channels in hd.

So, no Indianapolis HD locals as Charlie does not want the customers to pay more? That's so large of him. Since when does he decide what we get to watch? I am so tired of this line of BS repeated over and over. Give me the channels and I will pay whatever it costs.

Wooo Thanks Dish! My Birthdays Tomorrow and ur giving me some more HD Wednesday! Talk about good timing. Funny too as i do enjoy Showtime More then any other of the movie channel packs so im one happy costumer. Also cant wait for Spike HD!! Good Job Charlie!

I called about Fox HD and was told that they Dish were constantly evaluating their package lineups. So they dont know when or if it will be in any turbo hd package. This is a joke; no one knows which way is up. The sign that was put up said FoxnewsHD was in bronze 100 or Bronze HD packages which of course is not true.

I called back about FNC hd and FBN hd and was told the same as before. Due to the high demand these channels will be put in there Turbo hd packages in 4-6 weeks

Woo! You guys hear me or what?!?!?!

Sounded like they confirmed the BAIT and SWITCH!!!!

At least they took my call though.

Thanks for the question. Another hedge answer. This really bugs me and I dont even want to watch Fox at all. Well, good luck to you guys who like Fox!

the comment about AMC being mostly classic movies not is HD just shows how little Charlie knows about what is shown on the different networks. All movies after the early 50s can be shown in HD and really improves the quality even the 4x3 formats.

This actually turned out to be a useful show...lots of good info and some exciting news.

Can't wait until Speed, FX, and the 922. Anyone know what the upgrade fee is going to be like on the 922?
