Dish is the leader in follow the leader and well give them more HD after the price increase!!!!!! Didn't we see the same thing last year, and also according to Charlie we have all the Hd available??????????????Right out of the Idiots own mouth during the Charlie Chat!!!!! What really kills me is all the stupid people that hail Charlie as some type of god on this site!!!!!!! Give me a break-please!!!!!!

People tried to tell you that E* never promised any new HD It was only a "RUMOUR" and Just because charlie said no new HD doesn't mean there wont be any

He said that there should be a dozen new HD channels within 90 days and more after the new satellite is operational. The recap almost makes it sound like the 12 new channels come after the new satellite is launched.

Dozen new channels in the next 90 days is 4 more than being predicted in the rumors going round. It would be great if they treat the twelve days of Christmas like the 8 nights of hanukkah (giving us an HD gift each night for twelve nights)

I'm pretty sure that FIOS is much closer to HD leader than Dish. However, FIOS doesn't have near the penetration that dish does. Still, maybe e* should call themselves "The Satellite HD Leader" or "The HD Leader for those who aren't rich enough to live in Verizon Country"

The pattern is usually to announce at CES then put up new ones, but the way he was talking was (not using the s word) within 90 days...

It sounds like some negotiating going on still... We have 12 slots available for HD but are negotiating with like 17 channels... Dish probably leveraging them to get a good deal.

you can tell they will add more HD because the PQ has gone down big time.

The IQ has improved for me over the last couple of months.

I think, just like last year, any new HD will come after the February rate increases. Any bets how much the increases will be? I going with $5 for each level and Jim will declare it's justified by all the new HD you'll be getting.

I am about at that point to where I would rather see rates stay the same than to increase due to more additional channels or additional HD content.

I have noticed some programs pq isn't great but overall I feel pq is good at least on my tv's but I have to question if some of you who CONSTANTLY piss and moan about "my picture quality is worse than it was last month (or whenever) are just angry that the over-priced tv, or the "world greatest deal ever" tv you were too busy to research is the reason for your poor picture quality. Just because you pay a lot for a tv doesn't guarantee it will have a good quality picture.

Both. This satellite has ton's of spotbeams & space. I would expect to see lots of HD Locals & National channels to launch on that Satellite.
