Could someone please inform me concerning this dual feed? Is it designed for circular polarity use? Can it be used with a digital receiver if the polarotor is driven by stepping the channel up and down on an old analog receiver? (Motor seems to work when I do that).

I've got one of those and I use it for testing. It's not a circular LNB. I use an old analog receiver to drive the vertical - horizontal and run the coax output to a digital receiver. If you don't have a analog receiver to change the vert-horz , then just loosen the screw holding the LNB and rotate it 90 degrees.

Hi, the picture of the probe in the feed horn is not clear and is hard to tell but it looks like it may have the add on piece that allows for circular polarity. On my system I only have the wire probe and can only get the H and V polarity. I think you can find more info on this add on by searching the Chapparal web site. I seem to remember seeing some thing about it and it looked like a small rectangle on an angle to the probe.

BTW - I use a old Tracker receiver to move the probe. It can be adjusted to any postion and gets displayed on the LED panel of the receiver.

Hope this helps, DC

Thank you for the info. I'll search Chaparral. Reason I asked about circular is 'cause feed has a triple dielectric insert with a plastic v-shaped piece on top with a rod ging down to the throat. This piece rotates when the polarotor spins. I'd like to use the feed for linear C and Ku. Hope I won't have to tear out the dielectric pieces!

Got a backup connection? *Pics*

Want to combine signal from two 18" dishs for more signal?
