I have Voom with the following setup:
--an upgraded 24" dish
--Winegard "batwing" OTA antenna (I think it is a GS-2200 - whatever Voom installs by default).
--Winegard dp3020 diplexor (with a single cable going into the back of the voom receiver)
With this setup I get a consistent 97% sat signal and a few locals using the Winegard OTA antenna.
The signal is not that good on the OTA antenna, so at the recommendation of many on this board, purchased the Channel Master 4228.
My problem is that when I plug the Channel Master 4228 into the same port on the diplexor, my signal strength on the satellite dish goes down to 0. Unplug the 4228, and the signal comes back. Pluged in the batwing again, sat signal is fine.
Do I need a different diplexor? Any other ideas?
