According to my my wife who is at home said she was looking at the Dish Instant Weather on channel 9500 and that it states that soon it will be removed. I believe it will still be available at DishHome. If this is a repeat excuse me.

Why do they have to delete it from 9500? Do they have other plans for this channel? Does this take up that much extra bandwidth for them?

The information is still going to be available through Dish Home. It's a poor excuse for local inserts that the Weather Channel can provide through your cable company. However, my understanding is that Dish can not easily nor is it financially feasible to provide the same information for each local market.

I don't think it is a bandwidth issue but an issue with advertisement and other services. If you have to go through Dish Home, you have to view the advertisement and the other Dish Home services that someone may decide to subscribe to just to try out. Dish Instant Weather is a nice feature that I don't think DirecTV has yet but it does cost Dish to provide it.

Coming back to dish. Some questions.

811: When sent on 1081, tv reads 520p
