Changing Programming via Internet

Is there a limit or will D* get nasty if you frequently change your programming so you can watch whatever you want?

i.e. HBO to get Entourage then switch to STARZ for a couple good movies on Friday then back to HBO on Sunday for Entourage again?

The change is so fast it would be easy but I don't know what they would/could do about it.

From what I have read, you are required to keep the service for 30 days or they will charge an early termination fee. Remember these are called premium channels not pay per view.

Correct, because of actions described in the 1st post the billing for 30 days exists, or said termination fee which is like a dollar or two lower than the premium itself I think.

Also, if they see you doing this regularly, they will revoke your online priviledge to change programming online. You will be required to call in for any future programming changes!

I hated the $5 dish charge. This was one reason I decided to drop them and switch to D*.

Directv charges the downgrade fee as well I had thought.

While DirecTV only charges if you cancel before 30 days of use? In other words that charge you for the full month no matter what. I don't think they have any user change fees as long as you kept it for at least one billing cycle.

Just down or side-grades depending on who you talk to. They hit you with like double the amount to downgrade from porn.

I do think its intresting that I cant drop channels for thrity days, even though the channel I want to drop is not one that I added recently. When I went on the DTV website and tried to drop a channel I was informed that I could not do any progam changes online for thirty days, since I recently added channels. I can see the reasoning on that rule for channels just added, but even for channels I have had for a long time...Just becouse I recently added programing

From what I understand, the reason they did this is because some people were using HBO like PPV. Subscribe to it on Sunday night to watch "The Soprano's", then unsubscribing on Monday morning.

I can't blame D* for not allowing that to happen any more.
