Changes in Locals - Networks Swap

Here in the Champaign-Springfield market in Central Illinois, the ABC affiliate is changing to NBC and the NBC affiliate is changing to ABC. Currently, E* does not carry the NBC affiliate (from Champaign) that is changing to ABC, but carries the NBC affiliate out of Springfield. Is NBC in Springfield changing to ABC as well? Does anybody know how this is going to be handled by E* or have any more info?

That's an interesting question... here in Dayton, Ohio our NBC & ABC stations swapped last fall, but it was a much simpler situation for E* since they only carry one of each (and all from Dayton more-or-less).

I'm curious to see how this will turn out for you. Perhaps you'll have to go without ABC for a while unless there is another ABC out of Springfield (like your other NBC which could be dropped in that case). If there is no separate ABC out of Springfield, maybe they'll add the current NBC station that is changing to ABC.
