Over the past few weeks we have had some issues here at SatelliteGuys.US because of these issues we will need to make some changes.
The changes are as follows:
1) No political Avatars or signatures.
The reason for this is we are now moving into the election season. As we have seen no matter how innocent someones avatar or signature is someone has a problem with it. In turn this turns great technology discussions into heated political debates.
Remember we go beyond other forums and offer you "The Pit" where you can discuss politics to your hearts content.
Staff will begin removing such avatars and signatures on October 1st.
We are sorry that we need to take this step, but we are first and formost a technology site and want to bring all our members and readers the best technology discussion possible.
2) No Links in Signatures
Up until now we have been letting people link to external urls in their signatures, however as of late we have been seeing many links to commercial sites, which is not fair to the folks who pay to be a sponsor here and help us to keep our lights on for all.
In addition we have had a few links to "hate sites" or adult content.
Therefore effective October 1st no external links in your signatures.
