CE's for the Weekend of 2.10

Not sure if this is normal, but have not experienced it before. After download I can not change channel by directly pressing channel number, and have to go through the guide. Hopefully this will correct itself later on.

What model 20 fan ?

Try a reboot and see if that fixes it.

7 days till the Budweiser Shootout !

Just noticed something different I don't think was present in previous updates. On the main screen of Smart Search, before you type in any letters and the suggestions are there. There's a down arrow at the bottom center of the screen but there's nothing to scrolll down to.

I've never noticed that before, but I generally don't use the suggestions.

Also getting the inability to change channels from typing the # in. Screen just remains on current channel. Using both the browse bar and guide work though. Will see if it's fixed in the morning, don't have time to reset now. G'nite all.

HR24-500

When my HR24 500 first came up and I checked menus etc. I had a splash screen come up saying MRV had been activated (I don't have it yet) ...

I also got that screen asking me to name the DVR for MRV purposes as soon as I hit the list button for the first time. After I did, I went into the MRV settings and it still says not authorized in there (as it should, since I don't subscribe to MRV).

Anyone else happen to see this yet?

The red will flicker as you scroll, then show up solid again when you stop.

Same here, I'll try my HR20 - 700 tonight and see if it shows the same...

Some have mentioned it, have been watching the morning news from Dish, will fire up my HR24 and see.

I was just scrolling through the guide when it happened. I have been trying to reproduce it but can't. I'm also getting quite a bit of lag this morning. Last night right after 05B3 installed my box was as fast as ever. Guide was scrolling quickly, could direct enter channel numbers with no lag at all. This morning it's very off and on. It will slow down to a crawl and I'll hear a ton of drive activity coming from it. Then it will get fast again. Could still be downloading/caching things I suppose since it hasn't been 24 hours yet.. This is all on an R22-100.

Well now, I just hit a button and got the Welcome to Whole Home screen you guys were talking about ( I too don't do the MRV), however, mine says it been AUTHORIZED , did your say it was authorized ?

Okay, I found a way that I am able to reproduce the red guide every time. When I hit the guide button, and enter a channel number right away (either as the guide is coming up or right after it does), it turns red. If I open the guide, wait for a couple of seconds, and then enter a channel number, it won't.

On the initial screen that came up where you enter the name it said it was authorized, but after I entered the name and checked the Status menu in Whole-Home settings, it says Not Authorized.

So, is there a reason to want the red bar ?

If your going to a channel directly, why would you go to the guide first ?

Can you now get rid of the red bar ?

This is something that I can see them working on soon, unless this is intentional leading to something else they are working on.
