You guys think there's a chance this video transfer will work with a 622/Sling adapter set-up?

Video transfer? No it won't work on older VIP models, it ONLY works on the new Hopper with Sling.

I highly doubt Dish will start charging a fee for something they have never charged a fee for and that customers have been using for years.

They'll probably call it a Hopper Transfer Fee instead .

Nope no fee. They learned its better to keep a good customer sticky then keep them looking for a cheaper alternative.

Maybe by next year when my 2 yr is up with direct they will have the integration issues fixed. I am too spoiled with the scalable system right now with one unified play list and it would suck going down from 9 tuners to 6.

As far as I know, yes they are the same as current hopper.
