Well for those in the US will now have three options of getting CI.

BEV DTV? and now SC. I'm not sure of the price but I'm guess it will be the same as or around BEVs price. Also if I read correctly 200 games will be in HD at no extra cost I believe but not sure on that.

I got a chuckle out of the Press Release "200 games in HD"
Gee would that be the same 200 games in HD that all SC HD subs get in the Essentials package from CBC/TSN/WJBK/NBC ??

No, it wouldn't...not if it's the same deal as BEV has had. There were nights the last two seasons where there were 4 HD games on CI. This is a totally separate subject than TSN and CBC.

But Blackouts will now occur. This being more disscussed at the KU site.

Well, yes...there will be, but that's really unimportant for the most part because if the game is blacked out on CI it should be available elsewhere

Example...Leafs/Devils on LeafsTV. In Leafs territory, you'd need to watch on Leafs TV while the CI feed would be blacked out.

In cases where the local team has no TV coverage I've seen the CI blackout lifted. Example: Ottawa vs Tampa Bay. No TV in Otttawa, the CI feed from Tampa Bay would not necessarily be blacked out.

The only time it sucks is when there's an HD feed on CI for the local team but no HD locally. The HD feed will be blacked out.
