Does anybody know if D* automatically censors 'risque' dialogue from its programming. I have gone to the settings and enabled everything I can to adult but one is set to 'some blocked' and is not subject to reset for some reason. It's annoying to be watching a program and hear a beep every time someone uses a common "B" word. Is there anyway around this problem??

If there is any bleeping going on, it most likely is being done by the network/station. I get the "some blocked" indication also and don't know what, if anything, is actually blocked. I think those things which are really blocked cannot be viewed at all.

A good example are the reruns of Crossing Jordan, CSI etc. Whenever one of the characters referred to someone as bi*ch or bas**rd you hear a BEEP instead. Just wondering if people who use Comcast have the same problem.

Thanks people. No big deal, just was curious. Networks are probably gun shy because of the current FCC rulings.

It also depends on what channel the program is on and the policy the management. Take AMC and TCM movies. AMC always runs edited versions of movies with more adult content. TCM, on the other hand only runs uncut versions, although at late hours. So if at one time or another an film has run on both channels, unless it was one that needed no editing for content, it would have run in two different versions.

yea Kinda Sucked watching a Lewis Black Special on Comedy Central 90% of it was beeep oO

When children learn that some words really annoy adults they use them. Eventually the children discover these words do not communicate their meaning and use more precise language.

Some never do.

Ass holes!
