Yes, there’s plenty of new machines, and that’s a good thing- but I’m sure most of us would have preferred to see profile 1.1 machines clearly identified, with “firm” dates and prices of $600 or less. So in that, I am disappointed.
Have I missed anything, left anything out?
I gather that no more significant announcements on this front may be expected – for months. So pay a fortune for profile 1.1, keep waiting for lower priced profile 1.1 players next year, Or buy a PS3, which likely will eventually be both 1.1 and –live compliant. Or wait until the latest rumors on Warner going HD DVD exclusive pan out or turn out to be more FUD.
