CBS' Jericho: A Familiar Story

Watching it now.

WTF:

They had the enemy in sight, able to take them out before they took up position, and instead they wait for them to fire the first shot?" Stupid. they had the advantage and lost it. Dumb.

I knew he was going to die, but it still sucks, he was one of the most likeable characters on the show... darn. They should have killed the new mayor.

The season is over. It was so much better this spring. Sure hoping we get to see the end of the battle next September/October... CBS, don't pull an NBC a la Surface....

Good show, but the Military tactics (or lack thereof) employed by both sides were terrible...people just grabbing a seat or a knee and firing without any finding any cover. Ugh! I was almost expecting the folks from New Bern to get on line, fix bayonets, and march toward the enemy.

Anyway, I was very surprised by last nights death. I am interested in seeing what happens next season.

I didn't think Camp Liberty was legit. Good thing Heather is alive. This will have me wondering from now til September. Great program.

You are right. Why would they fly that messed up flag, if it is supposedly the federal government? Doesn't make any sense. If you are going to claim to be the US Govt, then fly the US flag.

Because several of the other states are still renegade, they were focusing on the ones still loyal I guess...... I did get creepy chills seeing it though....

Can't believe they only had one shell for the tank. Loved the look on Hawkins face when the choppers flew overhead.... Are they here to help or get him.....?

Did like Skeet doing his Rambo-esque "MURDOCH!! I'm coming for YOU" sneer (why are Murdochs always the psychos and bad guys in Hollywood) to Constantine....

Problem is... now that the army knows they are there, how do they keep this oasis in a desert thing they have going?

Playing DVR catchup from a busy week, totally forgot that this was the last episode this year! Really bummed they killed the Dad, he was a great character. I think the camp was legit, flying the current flag. Really hope that this gets picked up for next year, like RockyMtnhigh said, it got a lot better in the spring.

I think the point of the flag as far as the show is concerned was to illustrate that this was a "renegade" government as well, especially given that the bomber-in-chief is running the show.

But I would think that if the show was a bit closer to reality, each and every claimant to the legitimacy of the government would be flying the old flag. The idea that they changed the flag would only happen if different factions were actually at war with each other now, and confusion over who was who forced them to create a new flag for identification.

I do wonder however at the whole idea of the country breaking apart into separate factions. Its potentially not all that far fetched. If the government was pretty much wiped out, I could see regions like the south/midwest/west coast/new england realizing that their diverse regions might be better served if they were their own nation and didn't include the rest.

Exactly. If you want to claim to be the legitimate government of the United states, you fly old glory. Not some messed up flag. Something stinks.

Sure how CBS lets find out what the smell is in September.

Yeah, that was very surprising. Perhaps Gerald McRaney got a few better offers to make more Lifetime Movie Network movies. Anyway, I get the feeling that Dad will be featured in a lot of "flashback" material as Jake and Eric step-up and become leaders in the Jerico community next season. We shall see...

Is this confirmed?

SyFy Portal said that TV Guide is reporting it won't be renewed, but I'm waiting for the official word.....

This is the only non-renewal that pissed me off....... OK, Studio 60 will be missed, but I wasn't as invested in that as I was with Jericho...
