Not very practical, I drive that much just to work, wouldn't be able to get home with out recharging.

Then it's not an automobile, it's an NEV - Neighborhood Electric Vehicle. And in VA at least, cannot go on or cross any road with a speed limit of more than 35. With my wife working only 3.5 miles away, we considered an NEV. But she could not legally drive it to work because no matter what, she'd have to cross a 4 lane, 45 mph street. Also considered a Segway.
