My suggestion is to have the live TV preview screen much larger on the DVR screen.

Actually, a good idea would be to have a simple setting in the DVR settings area for a Small, medium and large preview.
Then people can choose if they want bigger icons and less preview screen, or more preview screen (like I do) and smaller icons.
Carbon UI could be killer if it could add a few of these suggestions and squash all of the outstanding bugs.
