Can't write a new bin to my fta 2500a

I tried upgrading it to 2700 but having trouble. I want to reinstall
original 2500a Factory Files but it will not "write" to receiver. Anyone
can help, i would appreciate it. How do i reload back to new?

What does the receiver do now? Does it turn on? do you see anything?

Yes, It turns on, flashes several single numbers ex: 5 6 2 7 and stops on a single number. If i power down and back up, is show "ON"
but get a fail write to reciever.

One thing you can try is to download the latest file from PansatUSA Downloads

Notice that there are two versions: (2700A / 2700E) or (2700A(b-75)) choose the correct one for your receiver.

Open the GTRom Loader click on the "bin file" button.

Then as you turn the receiver on (from the switch on the back) click on the "download" button.

Try that and let us know what happens.

Does it have to be the GTRom Loader or i can use my bin loader?

The GTRom Loader comes with the latest file from PansatUSA.

Once I had a similar problem that I uploaded the latest file from Pansat and the power went out and my receiver was in the same situation as yours.

So I tried what I said in my previous post and it worked.

Hey dude,

I just realized that i had done it right before. The lower case "b" digital look like a "6". It flashes b then 7 then 5 then on . I HAVE the screen showing Language.... but my remote seem to quite working.

I really think i close. What can i do about the remote control not working?

I don't have "STB" button on my remote. I have a 2500a remote control, does not work now. It is waiting for what language, ect..

Ok, here are a few more things to try,

press the "TV/SAT" button and see if that does anything,

Otherwise you might have to change the batteries.

The 2500 remote is only for the receiver...change batteries and see if that helps

I guess the last thing to try is to see if the remote is transmitting IR signals.

This might just be for fun: Otherwise it looks like you need to buy a new remote control.

If you have a digital camera turn it on and point the remote at it and press buttons on the remote, if your remote is transmitting IR signals then you will see a white light on the digital camera.

No reply from the digital camera....Being at the Language menu screen, does that mean it is properly loaded and ready to work with the May 2007 bin....???? Where can i purchase a 2700 remote control?

You can get a 2700 remote or a 2500 remote from one of out Gold Sponsors, look at the top of the page, or on EBAY.

Look around the remote where the batteries go in to see if there is any reset button. I do not have a Pansat remote, but one of my programable remotes for my TV has a small hole next to the batteries that I need to press whit a paperclip when I change the batteries for it to start working again.
