Can’t get upgraded receiver

I live in a community of single family homes that has Hotwire Communications receive Dish Network programming at a central location and they pipe it out to subscribers through a 722k receiver. I want to upgrade to a better receiver (Hopper) and get the programming directly from Dish. Dish will not come out because my home is already prewired for Dish. Any thoughts?

Does this Community have a master contract with Dish requiring every residence to pay a monthly fee for Dish Network service?
Did you sign some agreement when you moved into this Community to pay for Dish service.?
If your answers were Yes, you will be stuck paying for the Community service.
When I purchased a house about 7 years ago, when I was living full time in my RV, and wanted to change my service address to the new home, I was told that there was already a Dish account at that address. I simply explained that I needed service at appartment B. Problem solved.
In your case Appartment B may work, but you may still have to pay for your current service and use a different name for your new account. Do you have a spouse?

Hopper requires different set up from VIP 722K receivers, you can't just change wires from a 722 to a Hopper

First question: no master contract with Dish. We pay Hotwire Communications who supplies Dish programming and equipment, if we subscribe. I am sure Hotwire has a contract with Dish.
Second: we signed no agreement with Dish.

When I first moved in two years ago I tried to transfer my 18 year old Dish account here. Dish said they couldn’t provide me with service because of Hotwire so I went with DirecTV until they raised their fee $70 a month after the first year. Then I switched to Hotwire but the 722k does not suit my needs. I am trying to find someone, Dish or a private contractor, who will install a dish on the house and give me a Hopper.

Hotwire is the only dealer that can touch your account due to their contract with DISH. Try working with Hotwire.

Thank you boba, I called Hotwire and they left a message for an account specialist who is going to call me next week. The person I talked to said the Hopper was not on the rate sheet but that didn’t mean it wasn’t available.

The odd thing is that several people in the community have told me they had Dish come out and install dishes and equipment at their homes. Driving through the neighborhood, I have seen Dish satellite dishes in peoples yards.
