I can get a signal on all the sats in the arc except 129 for White Springs. I think my signals are low. My typical signal quality is about 52%. When I adjust the elevation at the 129 position slightly. I can get about a 30-40% signal quality and then when I go check AMC 3 87 for the Patient Channel the signal quality is too low on that one.
I set the motor elevation for my lattiude acording to the book. I have a GD240. I double checked for plumb on each side of the bracket on the motor and it is plumb. My question is does it make a difference if I raise the motor up and then re-adjust the dish or is just adjusting the elevation of the dish the same thing?
I could just raise the motor or lower the motor 1 deg and then realign the dish at each end and true south in the arc if that would make a difference.
I think the best signal quality I can get from my true south satellite, Galaxy 11 91 is about 64% but then Galaxy 10 123 is not that good. I think it drops into the 40s. So I left it at about 52%.
Just for more info AMC6 72 is at about 62%
Just thought I would ask to get some ideas.
I really like my new hobby and this forum for making it happen.
Thanks to all.
