That's exactly what happens to me when something decides to do it, except it doesn't let me back in.

We're dealing with Charter issues in West Central Michigan where what's called a Barix box sends encoded audio to another in a remote location, (on a competing cable 'net system) and in looking at our router stats and conversations with a well known expert in networking, it appears part of our issue may not be us today. A relief for this radio station owner, but definitely a problem for Charter people, so it seems. Had not tried the site until now, regretfully very busy these days and not enough "relax" time to hang out at SG. I hope we're all sharing a common upstream issue. We work with fixed IPs so no flexibility in attempting any changes.

Charters networking team is a bunch of hacks.

I worked my last years in a network NOC, and we called 2am (EST) the "Witching Hour", because that's when they would do their major network changes of whatever, and the most likely time for us to have serious 'Major Incident' issues causing "all hands on deck" company-wide crisis control. In fact one of their outages was so severe at our company, that it caused me a case of severe PTSD, that affected me the last 3 years I was there, and flashbacks for over a year after I retired.

I don't miss network monitoring for a worldwide network at all, though when things were going good, it was a GREAT job!
