Greetings, I replaced my reciever on my Ku dish. I can move the dish with the onscreen east-west controls in the motor set up screen, I can also move the dish with my MP02 Stab positioner control. I can memorize the position. But the reciever will not move the dish on its own. I am stumped. When I change satellites, the dish does not move. Any help would be appreceated.

If using USALS to move your dish, have you entered your latitude/longitude coordinates? What receiver are you using?
Not using USALS. The box is a gtmedia v7plus. I cannot find anywhere to enter the lat/long. It worked perfectly with the last box, also a gtmedia v8, also on disec 1.2. I can move the dish with the box's move commands, and with my MP02, but the box will not move by going from one sat to another.

If you aren't using USALS, what motor (model number) do you have? That box can NOT move a C-band dish motor by itself. IF you have a USALS/Diseqc motor, there MUST be a place to add your local site coordinates in the satellite setup menu

I have a GT Media V7S5X. Maybe they are similar. For mine, once USALS is selected for Motor Setup for a given satellite, there is a green button command called Set Location that if pressed brings up a menu where you enter lat/long.

Maybe this also:

Menu / Installation / OK / 0000 / On left hand side of the screen, move Cursor down to (USALS Setup)/ OK / Put in your long / lat information / Exit out.

YOU WERE RIGHT!!. I never noticed the green button changing function. HOWEVER, still no love. Even when I programmed all the sats to USALS, there was still no movement initiated by the box, only by using my MP02 when in USALS mode. I am sure the issue is in the box. I ordered a new box and it will be here next week. In the meantime, I just select the sat and channel I want, and move the dish by the MP02 until the channel pops up. Not ideal, but it works. Thanks for all your help and happy holidays.

Does the coax from the receiver go DIRECTLY to the USALS motor, or is there a switch in-between them? The coax should go directly to the motor. IF you need a switch to switch lnb's, the switch should be on the output port of the USALS motor, then to the various LNB's.

Yes, rec to stab to lnb. Going to switch receivers and try.

You do have a STAB motor?
The STAB might be peculiar, as to what GotoX command it will respond. See USALS/ GotoX; Raw diseqc commands

You have tried with StorePosNn and GotoPosNn commands, when I understand you correctly?

I have had a symptom like this with my STAB, with a long, not-too-good cable. Have you tried with a short cable?

It is actually a SM3D12 by Multistar that is a clone of the Stab. I swapped cable (new one I ran just to test). I can move the dish with the east/west keys on teh rec. disec2 screen, but Goto X has no result. Same with changeing sats. So no problem from rec. to dish. Problem is in receiver. I will swap with another receiver to test, but I already have a new receiver coming from Amazon. Should be here next Friday. It worked last week with another receiver that I moved to another dish. Logically, it HAS to be an issue in the receiver.

Not exactly a Stab clone because apparently it's only diseqc 1.2.
Which means you'll have to search for sats and store them to a position like big dishes.
How? Yeah.
Limited arc travel might mean it's time to swap for an SG2100. Then you'll get your usals.
