Hi, everyone

I'm new to the forums, first time post. I signed up for and was approved for DirecTV service through their website today, and I paid them some kind of $8.73 charge for a "use tax adjustment" on my debit card. Later in the day I called to cancel my Dish service since I wanted to switch and I found out I would have a bigger ETF than I thought. So I called Direct and cancelled the order. Since service was never installed, I don't have to worry about any termination fees with them right? And will I get my $8.73 back? I've tried to call them but the automated system wont recognize me now that I've cancelled the order... I guess I'm worried Directv will hit me with fees and whatnot because of some of the scary threads I've seen on this board

You wont get any ETFs, that goes in to effect only after you've activated service. The 8.73.... That might be a hold, it might not be, not totally sure what to say or do about that.

Did you plan on terminating early?
