Does anyone know if Dish Network has a retention department like cell companies and if so what have you recieved from them. I have had DISH for over 3 years and just got a new HD TV and they want me to spend over $300 dollars for an upgrade, but my current equiptment I purchased and is mine and its worth nothing.

yes they do hoowever they usually wnt give you anything, they will just tell you that when you come back it will cost you $25 to turn your account back on.

In this case I wouldn't expect Dish to give you anything, after all they did not force you to buy a new HDTV.

The good news in on February 1st there will be some lower priced upgrades available to HDTV.
