Canada sets an example for a la carte pay-TV

Probably not. But......I doubt they will go down much either as this new mandate is not true a la carte but rather, a mix of a la carte and small bundles. Once done buying either the basic and a few bundles or basic and and individual channels and bundles, the end price (after STB fees and taxes) won't be much different than what they pay now.
