Cause if so we should request channels like NBC Sports Network and CBS Sports Network for a freeview for the first 2 weeks to a month of college football season.

I mean it'll be better than the same ol freeviews we get like every other month (Hub anyone? :p )

NBCSN and CBSSN are not in Multi Sport.

NBCSN is in Dish America Gold ($59.99), America's Top 250 ($69.99), and America's "Everything" Pak ($104.99).

CBSSN is in the Smart Pack ($24.99, SD only), Dish America Silver ($49.99), AT 200 ($59.99), and AEP ($104.99).

MultiSport has Universal Sports, MLB Network, MLB Strike Zone, Fox Soccer Channel, ESPN Classic, Fuel TV, NFL Network, NFL Network RedZone, NBA TV, NHL Network, and over 25 RSNs (according to Dish...I would guess these are subject to availability and blackouts).

No reason you can't ask for freeview. Maybe a channel like,,,,,,,,, Fearnet? Oh, wait, that channel they don't carry. :D

(love Fearnet jokes)

How about any channel between 485 and 499? ;)

487 is included in the Dish Latino packages at no extra cost, but you may have to ask for it (as Dish may not add it as a precaution for those with youngsters).

Some of the Dish Latino packs have a handful of English channels; some are eligible for HD Free for Life (Dish Latino Plus and above).

I think the channels themselves determines the free preview in order to get more subs for their channel.
Yeap, I've always figured the same. HBO or Showtime or whatever channel tells E* or D* or Comcast or Time Warner and so on that they can give their channels free for a week or a weekend or whatever in hopes that customers will like it and subscribe.

I remember when we got Time Warner after moving or returning to them, you'd get almost ALL of their channels, including the premiums for weeks or longer. I always figured they did that on purpose to see if you'd like any or all of those channels.

When channels are in free preview, they seem to promote certain shows as well as having shows appear on channel 102.
