Can receive texts, can not send

This past friday, I noticed that my GS3 could not send texts, but could receive them, I could place calls, and data was fine.
I got to checking, and my moms phone (also on my account) was doing the same thing in this particular area.


After I went home, everything was fine, I could text normally, sending and receiving.

Fast forward to this morning, and I am back on my old OG Droid, as I am selling the GS3. Same issue that I was having Friday. Not able to send texts.


Any ideas?

Got a call into Verizon, which so far has been as helpful as staring at the sun for 5 minutes. Looks like there "might" be some progress since I got past the first line of help....

Try calling *228, press option 2, and see if that helps. It is a PRL update.

You should do this every so often just to get the roaming updates.

Yeah, I had already done that. They opened a ticket on it, and are supposed to be sending someone to check at the tower.
