I have a DP44 and 2 Dishes (500 + Super Dish).

The problem I am having is that on my 2 Ricevers I can not see all the 4 SAT.

On VIP622/HD I can see all 4 SAT (61.5, 110,119,129) on 2 TVS.

On 311 I can see only 3 SAT (110, 119, 129) Can not get 61.5

On 2000/HD I can only see 3 SAT (110, 119, 129) Can not get 61.5.

I am getting 4 Coax into the house 1 for each Reciever coming out of DP-44.

I called in the DISH Installation and they told me that I can only see 3 SAT on my
311 and 2000 Recievers to see the 4th SAT I need to upgrade to a newer reciever.

Is that right ?????

I know that on the 2000 receiver only 3 satellite locations are supported using a DPP44. But the 311 should be able to support 4 locations. Take a look at page 2 on this PDF file:

http://www.solidsignal.tv/dishnetwo...allation_Considerations-DP_Plus_44_Switch.pdf

Try clearing the switch matrix on the 311.

Disconnect the satellite feed and run check switch.
When finished, connect the satellite feed and run check switch again.

I hooked up serveral 311's to four sat's with a DPP44. Right about the 2000 only seeing 3.

Freshwater,

I believe you have a DPP44, Dish 500, and a Dish 1000; not a SuperDish.

SuperDish 121 = 119, 110, 121
SuperDish 105 = 119, 110, 105
Dish 1000 ---- = 119, 110, 129

If you really did have a SuperDish, I don't think the 2000 is capable of receiving 121 and 105, even if it was on the Sat Input 1, 2, or 3.

Also, you called it a 2000/HD, but I don't think there was a 2000 High Definition receiver.

Hopefully clearing the switch matrix as RandallA said will help. If not, I think I would then try his instructions again, but also disconnect the sat input from the 2000 and the ViP 622. After running the check switch, connect only the 311 back up and run the check switch.

When disconnecting cables, you should have the DPP44 Power Inserter unplugged.

Let me just correct one thing, its a 6000 Reciever with HD. I was using this for last 4 yrs and just add the Vip622. Before that I used to get 61.5 on this 6000 plus 2 more SAT. But now only 3 SAT but NO 61.5 SAT.

I will try the 311 and let every one know how it works.

Now I can see all 4 SAT on 311, all I did was that I run the check switch and it locks to all 4 SAT. Did not Disconnect the cable.

Now is it possible to get 61.5 on 6000 if I give up 129 or 119 since it can only lock 3 SAT ??

I guess maybe run the check switch on the 6000 and see if you get all four.

If not:

- Latest software for 6000 is 8.55P released 4/19/2006 http://www.dishnetwork.com/content/customerCare/technical/software_versions/index.asp
Probably click the MENU button twice on the 6000 to find out the Software Version. ???

- The 6000 should show "SW-21 4Sat" instead of DPP44.

- Here's a picture of DPP Twin and DP Dual connected to DPP44 http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental_content/TechPortal/content/tech/equipment/dish_pro.shtml

- The Dish 1000 comes with a DPP Twin. When it is connected to the DPP44, Port 1 will default to Sat 119. I guess Sat 110 will dafault to Port 2.

- The 6000 should be able to receive 4 sat with the DPP44 switch. It appears that when you are using 4 sat with one being a FSS (121/105) sat, then the FSS sat should be on Port 4. I believe this info was published before 129 was operational. http://tech.dishnetwork.com/departmental_content/TechPortal/content/tech/equipment/dish_pro.shtml

If running the Check Switch on the 6000 does not find your satellites, and since you prefer 61.5 over 129, then I think I would check the satellite inputs on the DPP44 and ensure they are as follows:

- DPP Twin feeds DPP44 Port 1 and DPP44 Port 2 (see picture of DPP Twin DPP44)
- DP Dual for 61.5 (Dish 500 DP Dual) feeds DPP44 Port 3
- DP Dual for 129 (Dish 1000 DP Dual) feeds DPP44 Port 4

Then run a Check Switch again. I've found that sometimes you may have to run the Check Switch more than once to get it to see everything. But running it first without cables seems to clear it and then the first time with cables works better.

EDIT: If you find you have an earlier software version, respond and someone will assist you in updating. You may have to by-pass the DPP44, or connect it to Port 1 of the DPP44.
