When I wanted a VIP622 upgrade to a VIP722K last year, I could have had it shipped to me for a DIY installation. But when I added a VIP612 to the order, then I had to have a Installer make the call.
The only reaon I didn't want the Installer was the wiring in my trailer is a little tight and I wasn't sure how well the Installer would do. The Installer that came had a lot of sense and let me put the VPI722K and he did the VIP612 which was a lot easier.
Of course this was in a house with wheels were Dish personal can only make installations but not take service calls.
