Can I share an existing Dish Network RG6 cable connection with a new FTA dish/receiver setup?
I currently have 2 Dish Network dishes, one with dual LNB, the other with a single LNB (I'm getting their satellite signals from 61.5, 110 and 119). They all go into 1 RG6 cable to the receiver.

If I now want to add a Winegard dish for FTA, can I share the existing RG6 cable to my receiver? If so, what do I need on both ends?

Side question - what is the maximum length for RG6 cable?

Thx!
Chris.

no

The FTA stuff and the DIsh ENtwork stuff (if its dishpro) run the same frequency...you would need a second run

maximum length is normally 100 feet for Legacy...200 feet if its DishPro

Cant share the same cable as Dishnetwork and there can be no switches on the "RG6" run. One cable from receiver to motor then a short cable from motor to LNBF.

You can safely use up to 150' of cable and even more the better the cable.
