Can I Set up my Motor this way?

I'm Taking the day off tommorrow and just got my motor for my sat. I've got a bing tree at my true south but I have a Fixed dish peaked out on G10R. Can I hook up the motor and send in to G10R and then attach my dish and point it at G10? Shouldn't that work for setting up my motor? Just wanted to make sure before I get started.
