Can I move my address to get locals?

Does anyone know if there is any PQ difference between the LA locals vs the NY locals? I know most of the NY locals have sub channels that affect the PQ, not sure about LA. Anyone have any experience with this? Perhaps you have both.
My job may take me from NY to LA in the near future. My decision of whether to "move" or not will depend on this.
Thanks in advance.

The question I would ask is whether or not DNS grandfathering will survive a move (or a "move").

I don't think that having subchannels on the ota side necessarily has anything to do with pq on the satellite end. IIRC, most of the satellite feeds are from fiber feeds directly from the stations, not ota. I'm not sure specifically about the NY/LA stations.

I have seen them both recently. I would say, PQ is pretty much the same on both -- couldn't really discern any difference (while in network programming). Audio is a different matter -- KCBS (LA) sounds great, while WCBS (NY) is very compressed. WNBC (NY) sounds a littler better than KNBC (LA) -- less compressed, but it is a smaller difference than between the two CBS stations. KABC (LA) sounds better than WABC (NY) -- again, the NY station has more compression. Lastly, for FOX, WNYW and KTTV sound identical due to the method that FOX distributes their network feed.

Note when I say "compressed," I am referring to AUDIO compression, not data compression. If I had a choice, I'd pick the LA stations.
