can i do a manual satellite update?

i have put in a usb. i saved whatever files it could. there were 5 entries to save so saved all of them. have scanned 97w and now am trying to do the update to the latest firmware but the only thing i get is 'error: collecting update file informatgion failed.'. am i doing something wrong? i am going to try to load the update file now on the usb. i have a 16g usb installed but don't know what it's format is. i will just format it in nt format. charlie

if you are doing the manual sat update you have to change the transponder to 12115 V 22425. Leave the rest as is
