Can I attach the Hopper to a 211 receiver to use the recorder

When I asked the sales rep from Dish about using the Hopper in my RV they said it would not be a problem. Now I find it is a problem because it will not work with the Wineguard antenna that I have and Winegard has no antennas that will work with the Hopper in my RV. Dish is going to send me a 211 receiver and I was wondering if the Hopper could be hooked to the 211 in any way to use the recorder. Any other recommendations to be able to use my Hopper in my RV would be greatly appreciated.

You cannot attached the Hopper to a 211. However, you can attached an EHD to a 211 to turn it into a DVR. There is a one-time fee of $40. Others have had success using a Hopper in their RV.

I used 2 Hoppers in my RV.
You need a dish 1000.2 or 1000.4 or equivalent Wingard traveler AND a Node (single or Dual).

Might want to look at the Winegard Pathway X2.

The X2 only works with a 211.... The Hopper doesn't have the software to move the dish on the X2...

Yes. He's discussing the ViP211 also. I should have made it clear by saying "...and using one or two ViP211s."

After all, he's being sent one anyway.
